The Local Portfolio at Hope4Health focuses on encouraging member engagement with the local community through a variety of initiative’s and events.

Check-it-Out Stalls

The Check-it-Out Stalls are run by medical and allied health students at major Griffith University and Gold Coast Community events, including Orientation Week and Relay for Life. These stalls encourage members of the community to get their blood pressure and blood glucose levels checked, along with a general check-up. This initiative focuses on highlighting the importance of getting an annual check-up with a GP, and highlights the need for preventative medicine in the community.

Op Shop Ball

The annual Op Shop Ball, held at the start of the year, is an event where medical and allied health students dress up in their finest feathers, sequins and clashing prints to raise money for Radio Lollipop and other local initiatives.

Graduation Breakfast

This is a fantastic way to bid farewell to our graduating class of each year. Every year we have sponsors present at the event, which offers a great opportunity for networking between sponsors and future interns.
