Each year HOPE4HEALTH, in conjunction with our sponsors and supporters, is able to foster members interesting in pursuing a career in rural medicine by subsidising the costs associated with attending a number of rural conferences including;

  • National University Rural Health Conference (NURHC) – the biannual NRHSN conference which connects members from every corner of Australia to provide educational and networking opportunities for the multi-disciplinary NRHSN Network. Conference delegates have opportunities to learn from inspirational leaders, policy-makers and professionals within the health and education sectors. The last conference held in 2012, saw 160 members come together in the picturesque Creswick, Victoria for the event.
  • National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA) Conference – the biennial Conference is the NRHA’s biggest project. It has become a key part of the agenda-forming process for the rural and remote health sector as a whole. The conference involves all sectors that can make a major contribution to the health of people in country Australia. It seeks to widen the rural and remote health community to include people involved in education, the environment, economic development and community services. The last conference was held in Adelaide in 2012.
  • Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ) Conference – this conference provides participants with unique opportunities to access federal and state politicians and key decision makers and to have their say on the future of rural health. 2013 sees the 24th Annual RDAQ Conference visit Mackay, QLD, and will focus on the changing role of occupational and industrial health in rural medicine, whilst addressing the key challenges facing Queensland rural doctors.
