Originally started by Medsin in the UK, Teddy Bear Hospital is an initiative that HOPE4HEALTH introduced to Gold Coast primary schools in 2007. Teddy Bear Hospital aims to promote healthy living through a series of interactive workshops. The current program has been designed for children in Years 1 and 2.
Workshops include

- Healthy eating
- Visiting the doctor
- Exercise and being active
- Healthy teeth and gums
- Being sun smart
- Medicines safety
Local schools benefiting from Teddy Bear Hospital include:
- Trinity Lutheran College
- Hillcrest Christian College
- King's Christian College
- Coomera Anglican College
The Teddy Bear Hospital has been incorporated into the curriculum of first year medicine students with volunteers from other years involved as well.
